Rapturous Moment is an excerpt based on a sequence taken from 'But for now all I can promise is that things will become weirder,’ a video that combines CG animated sequences, text, sound and filmed extracts. It addresses the ambiguous sense of numbness that is provoked by the current stream and rhythm of reality. Information and facts are perceived and absorbed as a palimpsest of imbricated fragments, images, sounds and events that are floating between blurred boundaries, creating a paradoxical amalgam of extravagance and often an uncanny feeling. Hierarchies of value and meaning collapse and get rearranged continuously.

Artist Bio

Eva Papamargariti is an artist, designer and art director with a Diploma in Architecture (2012) from the Department of Architecture, University of Thessaly. She holds a Master Degree of Visual Communication Design from Royal College of Art, London (2016). Her practice focuses on 2D/3D time-based media but also printed material and sculptural installations that explore the relationship between digital space and material reality. She is interested in blurring the boundaries between ‘ecosystems’ surrounding digital and physical environments.
